At National United States, we believe families should know exactly what they are paying for. Our goal is to provide a clear, straightforward fee structure with no surprises.

Your journey includes more than a competition. From receiving your state title to representing your state at Nationals, contestants receive opportunities to build confidence, serve their communities, develop leadership skills, create lasting friendships, and compete for a National United States title.

Below is a breakdown of the required fees and what is included.

Fees & What's Included

STATE TITLE REGISTRATION FEE

The State Title Registration Fee is the initial fee required to secure your state title and officially register as a National United States contestant.

This fee allows the National Office to process your registration, reserve your state title, and officially welcome you into the National United States family.

State Title Registration Fee: $250

Your State Title Registration Fee Includes:

Official state title
State title registration with the National Office
State titleholder information and resources
Access to the National United States Contestant Handbook
Titleholder expectations, guidelines, and important information
Communication and support from the National Office
Eligibility to participate in National United States activities and programs
Eligibility to advance to the National United States Pageant

Registration is not complete until the required registration fee and registration materials have been received and accepted by the National Office.

The State Title Registration Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

NATIONAL FEE

The National Fee is required for contestants who choose to compete at the National United States Pageant.

This fee covers your participation in Nationals and the national contestant package provided by National United States.

2027 National Fee

National Fee: $795

A payment plan may be available. Details, deadlines, and payment requirements will be provided by the National Office.

The National Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, except where otherwise specifically stated in the official National United States policies.

What Is Not Included

We want families to have a complete picture of the investment involved in participating at Nationals.

The following expenses are not included in the State Title Registration Fee or National Fee unless specifically stated otherwise:

Hotel accommodations (contestants are required to stay at the Host Hotel)
Transportation to and from Nationals
Airfare
Meals and personal expenses
Competition wardrobe
Hair and makeup
Shoes and accessories
Opening number attire, when applicable
Family and guest tickets
Optional competition entry fees, when applicable
Photography packages
Additional program advertisements
Souvenirs and additional merchandise
Personal spending expenses
Any other expenses not specifically identified as included

Families are responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

Payment Plans

We understand that participating in a national pageant is an investment for families.

For this reason, National United States may offer payment plan options to make the National Fee more manageable.

Payment plans must be established according to the schedule provided by the National Office.

All balances must be paid in full by the published final payment deadline.

Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in the loss of eligibility to participate at Nationals.

Important Fee Policies

Please carefully review the following before registering:

Fees Are Non-Refundable

Registration and National Fees are non-refundable once paid, except where specifically provided for in the official National United States policies.

Fees Are Non-Transferable

Fees may not be transferred to another contestant, person, state, division, or future pageant year unless specifically approved by the National Office.

Registration Does Not Guarantee a National Title

Registering for a state title and paying the National Fee provides eligibility to compete at Nationals. It does not guarantee placement, awards, a National title, or a specific prize.

Additional Expenses Are the Responsibility of the Family

Families are responsible for all expenses not specifically listed as included.

Our fee structure is designed to clearly outline what is included in your National United States experience and what expenses families should plan for separately.

*Please note if you Register close to the National Deadline of May 1st, full payment of the National Fee may be required to compete at the 2027 National Pageant. Please contact the National Office for more information. Last day to Register for Nationals 2027 is April 15th and all National Fees are due and must be paid in full by May 1, 2027.
