Amber Smith

CEO, Founder & National Executive Director

Amber Smith brings more than 20 years of experience in the pageant industry and understands pageantry from every perspective—as a contestant, titleholder, volunteer, judge, director, and now National Executive Director.

Throughout her pageant journey, Amber has competed at the local, state, national, and international levels, earning numerous titles and awards for community service, academics, interview, appearance, and photogenic achievement. She has also volunteered and served as a judge for local and state pageants, giving her a well-rounded understanding of what makes a meaningful and positive pageant experience.

With more than a decade of combined experience directing and working behind the scenes at both the state and national levels, Amber founded National United States with a vision to create a pageant experience that goes beyond the crown—one that encourages confidence, leadership, service, personal growth, and lifelong friendships.

​

Amber's commitment to service has always been at the heart of her work. In 2013, she received the President's Volunteer Service Lifetime Achievement Award for completing more than 4,000 hours of community service. In 2015, she was honored as a recipient of Pageantry Magazine's Spirit Award, recognizing her dedication and positive impact within the pageant community.

Beyond pageantry, Amber is an educator and lifelong learner. She earned her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Saint Francis University in 2013, her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from The Pennsylvania State University in 2007, and a certificate in Multimedia and Web Design from the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center in 2003. She is currently a graduate student at Penn State, where she is pursuing her second master's degree in Education in Counselor Education with an emphasis in School Counseling.

 

Today, Amber is passionate about building a national organization where every contestant feels valued, supported, and empowered to discover what makes her unique.
